Propel Change produces an immediate impact with measurable outcomes

It’s all about the bottom line. Does it move in the right direction after you’ve worked with a consulting firm, or are you just paying for some impressive insight and theory that, in reality, is not a good fit or can’t be implemented efficiently? At Propel Change we have one barometer for assessing the success of each one of our assignments- fast, tangible Results.

By quantifying the financial impact of a process improvement project, or assessing the behavioral change achieved from a leadership training initiative, we provide outcomes that are measurable and noticeable.

Increase Sales and Efficiency

Scenario

A major financial institution requested a strategy that would increase sales while decreasing marketing costs. They also wanted us to find a way to remove bottlenecks and speed up loan processing. We analyzed the situation and made recommendations we knew would rock the boat of management and staff. We recommended “remaking” the bank by setting a new direction, building high performing teams and getting the right people in the right positions. We implemented changes to both organizational processes and structure. As far as results go, the numbers tell the story.

Result

The bank’s loan processing time decreased by 75% within 2 months; Our IntraMarketing Ambassador referral program was implemented, resulting in significant new business. The bank was more profitable than at any point in the last 100 years, turnover and layoffs were brought to zero and bonuses have been paid to every employee consistently for years.

Continuous Improvement Award

Scenario

The Finance Department at this global corporation’s headquarters was awarded the highest level Continuous Improvement Award. Propel Change assisted key leaders in identifying and closing the gap regarding the length of time required to create financial reports, including forecasts, what-if analyses and trend analyses. Key employees were involved in re-engineering the processes. Propel Change provided the blueprint for change and also developed the entire program that would allow the leaders to reach their desired state. Then, they monitored and measured progress as they implemented behavioral changes and new methods of working.

Result

Based on conservative estimates, the value of time saved in the financial planning group in the first year of the program alone exceeded $2,000,000. The effort was deemed so successful it was implemented in every division of the company worldwide.

Reorganization

Scenario

A company had acquired several smaller companies and needed to merge IT systems and centralize the IT function. Propel Change assisted the CIO in managing the merger for over 200 staff members. In addition, Propel Change created a training program for the new IT systems that allowed each region to receive “just-in-time” training from members of their internal staff.

Result

The technical organization was centralized and the IT system was implemented in all regions within budget and ahead of schedule; the company savings from combining staff and systems was over $2,000,000 annually.

Process Overhaul

Scenario

A major automotive manufacturer with a retail presence needed help increasing productivity in one job classification. Our situation analysis revealed the need was actually corporate wide. The company had to focus on streamlining business processes across the entire organization and ensure only one version of each process was maintained. As a result of our enlightenment process, the project quickly expanded to multiple departments. We performed a task analysis to identify work performed and identified tasks that could be streamlined, eliminated, or transferred to another department or classification. We then defined critical processes to be documented in each department and developed a procedure and templates for documentation. Training for process authors, editors, and approvers was provided.

 Result

The results were significant. Streamlining within one group resulted in annual labor savings. Critical processes were followed and contests were held to see who could discover additional savings. The process spread virally throughout the organization.
